Oakland, CA (February 21, 2017) – Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) announced today the hiring of Tim Cole as Sales Manager and Assistant Race Director. Cole will operate out of CSE’s West Coast office in Oakland, CA and oversee corporate sponsor acquisition and event operations for the Oakland Running Festival.
Cole, a passionate runner and native Oaklander, joins the company after serving as client development executive for Cappex in Chicago, IL for the previous year. He was the sponsorship Manager and Assistant Race Director for Project Sport in The Bay Area for almost three years prior to his stint in Chicago.
Cole said, “I’m excited to return to the Bay Area and take a leadership role with the Oakland Running Festival and Corrigan Sports. CSE has done such a tremendous job in growing this event into one of the Bay Area’s premiere running experiences, and I can’t wait to get back into the Oakland community to make a difference.”
“Tim will be out there drumming up support on a daily basis of our local events at the corporate, community and government level and being the face of the Oakland Marathon and our other west coast events,” said Lee Corrigan, president, CSE. “Tim’s knowledge of the running scene and corporate landscape in Oakland were the ideal combination of traits we were looking for in a candidate to fill this position.”
Cole joins the CSE West Coast staff of Diane Batchelor and Aurice Guyton. Both Batchelor and Guyton have served as the support staff for several years.
The eighth annual Oakland Running Festival will take place on Sunday, April 2. For more information www.oaklandmarathon.com or follow us on Twitter @oaklandmarathon.
