Bank of the West Renews Oakland Running Festival Sponsorship

February 2, 2017 (Oakland, CA) — Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) announced today Bank of the West has renewed its role as the official bank of the Oakland Running Festival (ORF) and title sponsor for the event’s 5K distance thru 2019. Bank of the West’s support of the festival since 2014 has helped grow the 5K field by 60 percent.

Lee Corrigan, CSE President and ORF Executive Director, said, “Bank of the West’s extended commitment to the Oakland Running Festival translates to a healthier Oakland community. Its support of the 5K has helped introduce a whole new crowd to the running community, and we’ve seen those smiling faces come back year after year.”

According to a 2015 study by RESI, an economic research and consulting firm located at Towson University, the 2015 Oakland Running Festival’s annual economic impact surpassed $12 million. Approximately $2 million has been raised for local charities since the event’s inception in 2010.

The 2017 Oakland Running Festival will take place on April 2ndCompetitor magazine’s readers voted the Oakland marathon as the best marathon in the Pacific West region.
