Team Relay Category Added to Baltimore 10 Miler

Baltimore, Md. (October 25, 2019) — Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) announced today the addition of a two-person Team Relay category to its popular Baltimore 10 Miler. Next year’s event is scheduled for June 6 near the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore.

Running the same scenic course as the 10-Miler, the Team Relay will consist of two participants, both running five miles. Each team member will receive the same premium item as the individual 10-Miler runners and earn a relay specific finisher’s medal. Awards will be given to the first overall team in the male, female, and coed divisions.

And to add to the incentive and excitement, the Team Relay will also be part of CSE’s BFD Challenge.  If a runner participates in any event distance in the 2020 calendar year during the:

  • the Delaware Running Festival on April 26
  • Frederick Running Festival on May 2 & 3
  • Baltimore 10-Miler on June 6

…they will earn an extra Big Freakin’ medal to add to their collection.  That’s four medals for doing three races over six weeks in the Spring.

Lee Corrigan, president of CSE, said, “By adding the Relay category our hope is more runners will be able to experience one of Charm City’s greatest summer running events. The camaraderie generated by the team concept should only add to the epic B10 post-race celebration we’ve hosted for more than a decade.”
