At Corrigan Sports Enterprises, we believe that the heart of every successful event lies in the strength of the community around it. Giving back is a core value of Corrigan Sports. Through strategic charitable giving and partnerships, we work to make a difference beyond the playing field. We are proud to partner with local nonprofits and national organizations to support causes that matter most to our communities
Signal 13 Foundation
The Frank J. Battaglia Signal 13 Foundation is a local charity near and dear to Corrigan Sports Enterprises. The foundation is dedicated to providing financial assistance to Baltimore City police personnel, offering grants to those facing financial hardships and scholarships to the dependent children of active officers.
Corrigan Sports has proudly partnered with the Signal 13 Foundation through the Baltimore 10 Miler and Baltimore Running Festival for over 10 years. These events see active participation from Baltimore City Police officers, and Corrigan Sports is honored to contribute to the foundation with a donation following each event.
Corrigan Sports has supported the Signal 13 Foundation since 2010 at both the Baltimore 10 Miler and Baltimore Running Festival. At both running events, Baltimore City Police officers participate in these events and Corrigan Sports is happy to make a donation to them at the end of each event.
Athletes Serving Athletes
Athletes Serving Athletes (ASA) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with limited mobility by empowering them to train for and participate in mainstream running events. ASA has become a cornerstone of all Corrigan Sports events, proudly leading the start of our long-distance races and remaining a cherished part of our running community since XXXX.
As a longstanding charity partner, ASA has raised significant funds for its mission through our events and has participated as the Charity Chaser in numerous races. Corrigan Sports is honored to support their inspiring work and celebrate their continued impact on the running community.
What Would Stew Dew
Founded by Jennifer Alcorn in memory of her husband Lieutenant Andrew “Stew” Alcorn IV, this donor-advised fund will support various causes, including but not limited to assisting first responders and advocating for children.
Lt. Alcorn was a commander of the Frederick Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division, who passed away unexpectedly passed away in the summer of 2021. He was honored for his dedication and service to the community. Lt. Alcorn was known by family and friends as a “Dew” -er, helping in any way he could.
Corrigan Sports created the Frederick Running Festival Charity Chaser to benefit the What Would Stew Dew Fund. Every year, Stew’s family chooses someone to run the Frederick Half Marathon in his honor. This runner starts the race in last place, and for every runner they pass, Corrigan Sports Donates $2 to the What Would Stew Dew Fund.
The Chesapeake Conservancy
The Chesapeake Conservancy is dedicated to advancing land conservation and stream restoration efforts to promote a healthier Chesapeake Bay. Corrigan Sports Enterprises proudly partnered with the Conservancy in 2021 through the Bay Bridge Run. With the Chesapeake Bay serving as the stunning backdrop for this event, it was only fitting to support a cause that ensures its preservation for future generations and team up with the Chesapeake Bay Conservancy.
The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore
The Maryland Zoo, a beloved Baltimore landmark, has become an integral part of several Corrigan Sports events. As the host venue for the Baltimore 10 Miler, the Zoo provides a unique setting where participants begin and end their race, celebrating their achievements in this iconic location.
The Zoo also takes center stage in the Baltimore Marathon, where full marathon runners enjoy the unique experience of running through its grounds and catching glimpses of the resident animals. Corrigan Sports greatly values this ongoing partnership and is proud to support the Maryland Zoo with biannual donations.
What Would Stew Dew
The mission of the Annapolis Police Foundation is to assist the community of Annapolis, Maryland by raising charitable funds to support the Annapolis Police Department in increasing the capacity and improving the effectiveness of police programs and community outreach activities.
The Annapolis Running Festival came to fruition in 2022 as did our partnership with the Annapolis Police Foundation. Every year, the Annapolis Police Foundation chooses an active police officer to run the Annapolis Half Marathon as the official charity chaser. This runner starts the race in last place, and for every runner they pass, Corrigan Sports Donates $2 to the Annapolis Police Foundation.
Headstrong Foundation
The Headstrong Foundation offers financial, residential, and emotional support to families affected by cancer. Our founder, Nicholas, recognized the scarcity of essential resources for families during their fight. Our team is based in Philadelphia and works relentlessly to provide resources for patients and their families who are receiving specialized cancer care throughout the country.
HUMANE SOCIETY OF TAMPA BAY
The Humane Society of Tampa Bay, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, provides shelter for homeless & at risk animals, adoptions, hospital and TNVR services for the general public; operates independently from the Humane Society of the United States. And we, along with our animals, would love to have you as a partner on this journey.
