CORRIGAN SPORTS AND SPALDING ANNOUNCE THE CAVALIER KICKOFF CLASSIC

Corrigan Sports Enterprises announces their first step into the High School football space with a unique double header event – coming at the end of August

July 30, 2024 – Elkridge, MD

Corrigan Sports Enterprises, an area leader in sports marketing and event management, announced a double header High School Football event this week. On August 31st at Archbishop Spalding, CSE will manage (2) high-caliber area matchups:

  • Mary’s Ryken vs. Archbishop Curley (3:30pm)
  • Dematha Catholic School vs. Archbishop Spalding (7:00pm)

 

VP of Development, Ryan Corrigan had this to say on the new event – “we’re thrilled by the opportunity to diversify our business and jump into the high school football scene. Our goal is to put on a great event for local High School football fans, with a long-term focus on making this an annual event. We thank Jon Mellinger and his leadership at Spalding for engaging us in this opportunity.”

All four teams have exceptional talent – Archbishop Spalding features (3) high caliber recruits who have elected to take their talents to the University of Maryland in 2025 (Malik Washington, Jayden Shipps and Delmar White.)

Jon Mellinger, Athletic Director from Archbishop Spalding – “This annual event is something that has been in the making for a few years now. We’re excited to showcase talented programs and players within the MIAA and WCAC. Our partnership with CSE has helped move this from the planning phases to reality. I hope to see everyone out there on gameday.”
