ACC Rivals to Play in a Neutral Site Game on April 15, 2023 at Good Counsel High School

Baltimore, Md. (December 21, 2022) — Today Corrigan Sports Enterprises announced plans to host a college men’s lacrosse showcase featuring Syracuse University and the University of North Carolina. The game will be played on Saturday, April 15, 2023 on the campus of Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, Maryland.

This event will mark the season’s second meeting between the two Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) rivals. The Orange are scheduled to host the Tar Heels in the first meeting on February 26 at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse. The Tar Heels will be the designated home team for the April 15 match-up.

North Carolina head coach Joe Breschi commented that, “We are looking forward to playing Syracuse on a neutral site in Maryland, in front of what should be a terrific crowd. We are grateful to Corrigan Sports for putting this opportunity together for both programs.”

“Syracuse lacrosse is thrilled to be part of a Corrigan Sports event,” said Gary Gait, the second-year head coach of the Syracuse men’s lacrosse team. “We have had tremendous success recruiting the Baltimore-Washington area over the last couple of years. The opportunity to play UNC at Good Counsel will allow us to showcase our style of play to our fans and alumni in the area. We expect to have incredible crowd support for an exciting match-up.”

“These are two of the most recognizable names in college lacrosse,” noted Lee Corrigan, President of Corrigan Sports. “And we are excited to help present their match-up in such an intimate atmosphere. It will make for a truly great fan experience.”

The Syracuse-North Carolina game is scheduled for a 2:00 pm start time. General admission and VIP tickets are available for purchase.
