The first wave will include half of each teams invitees, with the remaining roster announced two weeks later on February 12th.
The Highlight Division will showcase a unique blend of players chosen through Inside Lacrosse’s esteemed selection process, as well as through nominations from local high school coaches who believe their athletes deserve the opportunity to represent their region. These players will be honored as part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the New Balance All-America, a marquee event that has consistently recognized the best high school lacrosse talent in the nation for two decades.
“The creation of the 2025 Highlight Division allows us to recognize not only the top-tier athletes selected by Inside Lacrosse, but also the hidden gems who may have flown under the radar but are deserving of the opportunity to showcase their skills on a national stage,” said Corrigan Sports VP of Events, Andy Bilello. “This approach honors both the grassroots nature of lacrosse and the excellence that has made the All-America event so special over the years. We are looking forward to celebrating Year 20 with a roster full of deserving players from all over the country.”
Inside Lacrosse, the leading source for lacrosse news and analysis, will collaborate with regional coaches to finalize the selections. The nomination process allows coaches from across the country to recommend standout athletes they believe embody the talent, work ethic, and sportsmanship that make New Balance All-America Lacrosse a premier event.
Dan Kaplan, Director of ILPreps at Inside Lacrosse, said, “Inside Lacrosse is beyond excited to be part of the selection process for the 2025 Highlight Division. Following the success of this format last summer with the 2025 class, we’re thrilled to begin this endeavor with the 2026’s and with so much talent out there, and this division allows us to recognize players that certainly deserve it. This process allows regional coaches to help shape some of the roster, and we’re proud to work together to identify the next wave of talent in the game. We can’t wait to see these athletes compete and represent their regions on the national stage.”
A longtime All-America Lacrosse coach and 2025 Highlight Division coach for the New England region said: “Coaching in the Highlight Division is an extremely gratifying experience. Seeing the talent within our region play out on the field against the nation’s best players and coaches is truly amazing! Coming up one goal shy of the Championship last year encapsulates the All-America Lacrosse event and just how hard it is to earn a championship. For the players, competing in the All-American Lacrosse Highlight Division is a unique opportunity to showcase your talent, stand out among the best in the country, and showcase to their future coaches what the next four years holds! Being chosen as an All-America Highlight Division player means your preparation, hard work, and practice has paid off.”
The selections for the twelve boys regional teams and twelve girls regional teams in the 2025 Highlight Division will be revealed in two waves
Each wave will include athletes selected based on their achievements, leadership, and commitment to the sport of lacrosse. The final lineup will feature some of the nation’s most exciting lacrosse players, ready to showcase their talents in front of a national audience.
The New Balance All-America Lacrosse Game will take place on July 25-27 and is widely recognized as one of the premier showcases for high school lacrosse athletes, with players selected from across the country to participate in this historic event.
