Every athlete who participates in the tournament will be evaluated and eligible for selection to the 2026 New Balance All-America Southwest regional teams. These rosters will be developed exclusively from participants at this inaugural event.
This groundbreaking team tournament is set to elevate the profile of Southwest lacrosse talent by providing a premier opportunity for emerging athletes to showcase their skills. The tournament will be held June 12–14, 2026, at the scenic Broomfield County Commons Park in Broomfield, Colorado. The event promises high-energy competition and unparalleled opportunities for participants.
The Southwest Invitational is open to athletes from the classes of 2028 through 2032. This evaluation event targets the next generation of lacrosse stars in the Southwest region. Every player in the 2028, 2029, 2030, and 2031 graduating classes will have a chance to represent the Southwest at the New Balance All-America Lacrosse main event. The evaluation process will identify players in the following divisions:
Athletes in the 2032 class will receive their first taste of the All-America experience at the invitational. These players will then be eligible for the Rush Division the following year. The Southwest Highlight team—for players in the 2027 graduating class—will be selected by Inside Lacrosse and the regional coaching staff. Those invitations will be extended in early 2026. All-America event partners at Inside Lacrosse will be on-site in June to cover the Southwest Invitational.
“We’re excited to expand the All-America lacrosse platform with this new invitational concept,” said Andy Bilello, Vice President of Events at Corrigan Sports Enterprises. “We aim to find the top talent in the Southwest to represent the region at the 2026 All-America main event next July. The storied history of All-America Lacrosse is built on the best competition. We will support that legacy by adapting to the lacrosse community.” Bilello’s vision underscores CSE’s commitment to growing the sport by spotlighting regional excellence and building bridges to national stages.
The New Balance All-America main event will return to Maryland in 2026. The Underclass tournament will open play on Friday, July 24, and conclude on Championship Sunday, July 26. The annual Senior All-America games are scheduled for Saturday, July 25, and will once again serve as the premier showcase for high school lacrosse players.
